Athlete Justice Dreischor of the Venloop Running Team will participate on behalf of Aruba in the major World Championships in Athletics in Budapest in August 2023.
On May 12, during a race in Utrecht, he ran a new PR and with it a national record of Aruba. He was in good shape after a tough training camp and ran the 800m in a time of 1:56.42. As a result of this great result, Justice received an invitation from the Aruban federation to participate in the World Cup in Budapest on their behalf.
Justice is 25 years old and started his running career at the age of 14. He has been training with the Venloop Running Team since 2021. “Being invited by Aruba to the World Championships and being able to compete with the greatest athletes in the world is very special and like a dream come true,” justice said of the beautiful adventure he will embark on in August.
His trainer Bob Stultiens is equally enthusiastic: “As a coach and also supervisor during the World Cup, I am extremely proud and happy that he has been given this opportunity and I have every confidence in him. A great opportunity for him as an athlete and also for the Venloop Running Team!”.
The Venloop Running Team is a running team with which the Venloop Foundation wants to provide young running talents from North Limburg with a platform to get the most out of their sporting opportunities. The team started in January 2014 and now consists of 23 athletes who participate in regional, national and international competitions and are trained to become (inter)national top athletes.
